Pants styles change, but don’t toss out that TNT pants pattern that fits. Use your pattern to create a master pattern that will let you make design
changes to the leg style. Practice designs at 1/4th scale. Designs options
include: Boot Cut, Shoe Flare, Full Flare, Straight from Knee, Slim Leg,
Princess Pants. Crop Pants, City Shorts, Walking Shorts, Hiking Shorts/Pants.

cardboard 1/4th scale ruler, triangle and 1/4th scale curve stick.

Anyone with a basic knowledge of sewing can make a museum quality quilt
in a fraction of the time using a combination of decorative stitches, beautiful
lace and heirloom techniques. You will make several quilt squares in class
that can be used for pillows or added to a full quilt.

Hand embroidery combined with a wide variety of fibers can take embellishment
to a new dimension. Several basic stitches will be taught and then
expanded upon by experimenting with a variety of threads, ribbons and
yarns to completely change the look of the stitch. Hand painted fibers as
well as solids and traditional as well as non-traditional fibers will be combined
to help you draw out your creative talents in an easy, relaxing and
portable project. This class will be taught as a sampler notebook. Each
stitch will be demonstrated then you will be free to experiment with various
fibers. Depending on class experience 4-5 basic stitches will be demonstrated
along with a PowerPoint Presentation of ideas. Whether you are
a quilter, garment constructor, ready-made adaptor or a thread artist this
class is for you!

Begin to create bead crochet with this basic stitch, the chain stitch, even
if you have never done bead crochet before. Learn how to incorporate
groups of Japanese glass seed beads into a sparkling metallic thread to
fabricate a casual lacy pattern and texture without worrying about tension.
This technique will be used to create one multi strand necklace and
one multi strand bracelet.
You will learn how to incorporate the clasp as you work to simplify finishing.
Discover a reliable and easy way to secure your starting and ending
threads. After you have completed this class you may find ways to use

Jack first learned this knot at the United State Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes, Michigan. He has found many uses for it including the latest of making
a necklace with zipper tape. Create a unique necklace using Rainbow
Zipper Tape with Rainbow Zipper Coil. Use several knots to make this necklace
a fashion statement with special decorative closure distinctively your
own. Students will learn seven knots in class and how to use them individually and in combinations. The photo is one knot made with one yard of Rainbow Zipper tape. Don't worry! You will go home with instructions so you can make more at home!
"There are thousands of knots with an infinite number of variations. Some are functional and some are decorative. Knots can be as absorbing and satisfying as any puzzle," says Jack.
