Q: Do you have the dates for 2018?
A: Yes, the 2017 Expo will be March 1 - 4, 2018.

Q: What are the hours of the Sewing and Stitchery Expo?
A: Gates open at 8:00 am to the Fairgrounds.
The shopping floor hours are:
Thursday - 8:30 am - 6 pm
Friday - 8:30 am - 6 pm
Saturday - 8:30 am - 6 pm
Sunday - 8:30 am - 4 pm

Q: What is the cost of admission?
A: $14 at the door or $12 pre-sale through online or mail-in registration and selected fabric and quilt stores. The 4 Day Pass is available for purchase through the website.

Q: How much is parking?
A:Parking is FREE, courtesy of the Sewing and Stitchery Expo!

Q: Is my admission ticket good for all four (4) days?
A: You need to purchase an admission ticket for each day you plan to attend. A four-day pass is available for purchase for $42 through the website.

Q: Where can I find the seminar descriptions and schedule?
A: Please check back in December for the class schedules and descriptions for 2017.

Q: How can I register for the seminars?
A: On this website or you can mail your registration in. Online registration opens in early January. All remaining tickets will be available at the Expo at the Seminar Ticket booth in the Showplex building. Enter through Door 'D'.

Q: What can I buy with the Sewing & Stitchery Expo Gift Card?
The gift card can be applied to purchase admission tickets, seminar tickets and evening event tickets.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: No refunds will be made for lost, forgotten, or unused or stolen tickets. A $2 fee will be charged per seminar for ticket replacement.

Q: I am planning on taking a 3 & 4 needle class and under student supplies, it lists 'basic sewing supplies'. What do I really need to bring?
Basic sewing supplies means to bring: Scissors (fabric & paper) pins, seam ripper, chalk, seam gauge, ruler, measuring tape, sewing needles, etc. Optional: Portable light, mini iron and ironing pad. And anything else you use that will make your sewing experience pleasurable. Rotary cutter, mat, ruler, irons & ironing pads are available for classroom use.

Q: What's your best advice for first time visitors to the show?
A: Here are a few helpful tips:

  • Register early! Many of the seminars fill up very quickly.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes and plan your schedule with the fairgrounds map in hand.
  • Use the Package Check for hands-free shopping.
  • Use the Expo Show guide  (handed to you at the door) to help you make the most of your time at the show.
  • Use the Expo Fairgrounds Shuttle to go from building to building. Donations are gratefully accepted.
  • Take advantage of the FREE style shows upstairs on the Expo Runway, 2nd Floor Pavilion and the Free Stage events in the Showplex near the ticket booth.
Q: Are there food booths at the Fairgrounds?
Yes, there are a nice assortment of food vendors located on the fairgrounds.

Q: Is there a photo policy?

A:  When you buy a ticket to attend Sew Expo, you may be photographed by the show management while shopping, attending classes or special events. These photos may be used in future advertising or promotion of Sew Expo.

Q: Can I take pictures?
A: Yes! Please take pictures at the show. We want you to post those pictures on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram or on your favorite sewing blogs. Help spread the word about Sew Expo. However, every vendor and teacher may choose to not allow pictures in their booth or class. Please respect their wishes.

Q: Are wheelchairs available and how much do they cost?

Wheelchairs are available free as a courtesy at the Information Booth in the Pavilion building on a first come, first served basis. Or, you can contact Wheelchair Haven, 253-926-8971, 253-926-8971,

Q: Can I bring my wheeled tote?

A: For the security and safety of all attendees, exhibitors, and Expo staff, we request that you leave carts, carriers and suitcases at home or at your hotel. Purchases may be checked at the Coat & Package Check booth located on the first floor of the Fair View Building (formerly State Patrol Building).

Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: Only service animals will be permitted entry to the Fairgrounds.

Q: I am coming from out of town. What hotels or motels are nearby?
